An Introduction to Auricular Acutherapy
Auricular Acutherapy refers to the application of acupressure with seeds or acupuncture with pins on specific points on the surface of the ear, with the aim of supporting the bodies own healing mechanisms. The NADA 5-point protocol was developed in the U.S. over 50 years ago and it is used in prisons, addiction treatment, and mental health services around the world.
An Introduction to Acutherapy will give you a good understanding of the benefits of treatment for service users and the benefits for your service, the evidence base, the scope of treatment, and how to implement acutherapy with pins or seeds in treatment programs. You will have a go at ear seeding, and will leave with a seeds starter pack and ear seeding booklet.

Kaleidoscope Menopause Group
Our first 'Ear Seeding for Menopause' Workshop was delivered at Wednesbury Library with the Kaleidoscope Plus Group and a wonderful group of eight women who were sticking seeds on each other for hormone balance and hot flushes.

Cancer Wellbeing Fayre
We provided three short fifty-minute workshops throughout the day, with ten people in each group who learned self-ear massage, seven landmark points, and all had a taster treatment given by Nick and Dal.
Just Straight Talk
Various Groups
We have delivered four workshops for JST, to over 60 people at their regular group meetings. There has been lots of interest and great participation in each group, by the end of each session the participants who could had given each other acuseed treatments, and everyone who wanted one had received a treatment.

Acu-seeding Workshops
Prick Up Your Ears will deliver acu-seeding workshops in your organisation for staff and service users.
Treating Yourself Workshop
This workshop is for members of the public who want to learn to treat themselves and family or peers in groups settings. It can be incorporated into wider programs supporting people with a variety of specific health problems. This two-hour workshop costs £300 for up to twelve people. All participants will receive a starter pack of seeds and a booklet showing relevant seeding protocols.
Treating the Public Workshop
For services who will be offering acu-seeding treatments to the public, a 4-hour workshop costs £600 for up to twelve staff.
6-week Acutherapy Workshop Course
A series of six 2-hour workshop sessions, delivered in your service for staff and/ or members of the public. A practical series of workshops introducing various protocols, assessing ears, finding active points, and running your own acutherapy groups. This includes an introductory treatment session before the course, the total cost is £1,600 for up to 16 people.

Prick Up Your Ears C.I.C. is on a mission to bring the benefits of ear acutherapy to those who need it most, and we need your help. Since our launch in April, we’ve attended 18 community events, providing over 280 free ear-seed treatments to individuals for overall wellbeing and various health issues. These treatments are often inaccessible to many, as they’re typically offered only through private channels or limited to drug and alcohol services.
